Law Society
Mission
The goal of the Saint Ignatius Law Society is to foster camaraderie within the Saint Ignatius law community. Within 5 years the Law Society raised over $100,000 for the Michael F. Lefkow Memorial Scholarship. This endowment provides tuition assistance for financially struggling Saint Ignatius students. The society was founded in 2005 by Thomas E. Brabec ’73, John M. Coleman ’67, Kevin J. Conway ’69, Daniel G. Pikarski ’90 and Curtrice White Scott ‘90.
Membership
The Law Society is open to any alum, parent, or friend of Saint Ignatius College Prep who is involved in the field of law. The $250 annual cost of membership supports the Law Society Endowment and is entirely tax deductible. As a member, you and your firm will be recognized in the annual Law Luncheon program book and will receive an official Saint Ignatius Law Society lapel pin.

Annual law society events
Law Luncheon
The annual Law Luncheon is held each spring. As a Law Society member, you will be recognized in the luncheon program and will receive an official Saint Ignatius Law Society lapel pin. Committee members are asked to take an active role by:
- Joining the Law Society
- Attending the Law Luncheon with a guest
- Participating in a phone-a-thon to recruit attendees and Law Society members
The 32nd Annual Law Society Luncheoen
We are thrilled to announce that we welcomed over 400 alumni, past and present parents and friends of the school to the 32nd Annual Law Luncheon on Friday, March 1st at the Union League Club of Chicago. Our guests enjoyed an hour of networking followed by the lunch program where Hon. Thomas L. Hogan ’72 was presented with the Alumni Award for Excellence in the Field of Law and Justice Mary Jane Theis was presented with the Award for Excellence in the Field of Law.

The Saint Ignatius Law Society Meet & Greet Reception
In September 2012, the Saint Ignatius Law Society Committee sponsored the first ever Law Society Meet and Greet. The reception was held at Quartino, 626 N State Street, managed by Matthew Graham '93.
We welcomed over 75 alumni and friends of the school who are involved in the fields of law, government and/or public interest. This event provided the Ignatius Law community with an opportunity to broaden their legal professional network while together enjoying dinner and drinks.
