Young Alumni Club

Mission

The Saint Ignatius Young Alumni Club (YAC) serves to bond Ignatius graduates from the previous two decades with their educational institution and its Catholic beliefs. YAC and its committee work to create, support and promote relevant and meaningful programs that foster community, service and the Ignatian spirit.

Membership

Are you a more recent Ignatius graduate, looking for ways to reconnect with former classmates and the school? Are you interested in helping coordinate and/or participate in fun events for other young alumni? Look no further! If you have questions about participating in upcoming YAC events or would like to be more involved by joining the YAC committee, please contact YAC@ignatius.org or watch the Wolves' Den for news.

You can also become financially supportive by joining the Young President's Club for $1,500 (President's Club membership usually requires a committment of $2,500). You may make your gift all at once or pledged over several months. As a result, you will receive Fr. Paulson's quarterly newsletter and most importantly, you will be helping a deserving youngster attend Saint Ignatius!  To become a member of the Young President's Club click below!

Annual YAC Events

Jesuit Cup

The annual Jesuit Cup event is held the night of the Saint Ignatius vs. Loyola Academy varsity basketball game. A great time always follows at the post game party and all proceeds go to the Saint Ignatius Tuition Assistance Program.

Blackhawks Night

Over 130 attended the second annual which started with a pre-game reception in the McLaughlin Room at school. Many great raffle prizes were on hand, including gift certificates for fabulous restaurants and spas, Chicago sports player autographs, professional athletics game tickets and golf at Olympia Fields! Special thanks to Tim Swindle ’98, Henry Gardunio ’01 and the entire YAC for helping raise over $5,000 for the current students in financial need at Saint Ignatius.

Volunteer Day

This past summer, the YAC sponsored a volunteer day at Maternity BVM, a Big Shoulders elementary school. The young alumni help the teachers and staff prepare the school for the new year. The YAC also has an annual presence at the Puttin' on the Ritz Auction and the Gentile Golf Classic.
